A reminder for those that have registered for one of our many workshops: Unless otherwise specified, workshop fees do not include meals/lunch.  A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply to registrations canceled more than three business days before the start of the course. Cancellations or "no shows" made within 3 business days will not receive a refund.

• WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS

  • Dress Comfortably, in layers.  The training room may be hot or cold.

  • Pencils (with erasers)

  • Notepad

  • Calculator (Basic Functions only)

  • Highlighter

   

• ABOUT YOUR POOL (IF KNOWN)

  • Measurements (Length, Width, Depth)

  • Capacity in Gallons

  • Type of Sanitizer (e.g. liquid chlorine, calcium hypochlorite)

  • Type of Filters (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth)

 

• HOW TO PREPARE

  • Download and read the "Prep School" offered by the Professional Pool Operators of America, Inc.  The "Prep School" written by Kent Williams was originally designed to help prepare students for the Aquatic Facility Operator course, but is an excellent tool for any pool operator class.

  • Familiarize yourself with your local health code (if any).  If your health code is not listed, you should contact your local regulatory agency. Remember that local jurisdictions (city, town, county) may impose regulations more restrictive than the state. Pool operators must comply with all local and state regulations.
