Aquatic Safety Research Group is dedicated to providing swimming pool operators with the level of training needed to help ensure that all patrons have a safe and enjoyable experience at the pool, beach or waterpark.
The Aquatic Risk Management Series of workshops are one-day training programs designed to provide aquatic managers information and resources not generally found in other programs. Practical Pool Management
The Practical Pool Management (PPM) workshop is a fast-paced one-day pool operator course which highlights the most important topics in pool operations, maintenance and safety including circulation, filtration, chemistry, safety and risk management.
Ideal for those in the hotel/motel business or for persons, such as head lifeguards, with some responsibility for the daily operation of a public or semi-public swimming pool.
Participants receive a certificate upon passing the written exam with a minimum score of 75%. Certification must be renewed every five years.
PPM+
The Practical Pool Management Plus workshop is a fast-paced two-day pool operator course, providing an in-depth analysis of the most important topics in pool operations, maintenance and safety including circulation, filtration, chemistry, safety and risk management.
For anyone operating a
public or semi-public pool or waterpark facility including aquatic
directors, pool maintenance staff, hotel/motel staff, and others in the
"pool business."
Participants receive a certificate
upon passing the written exam with a minimum score of 75%. Certification
must be renewed every five years.
Safe Swimming Beaches
Safe Swimming Beaches is the only national education and training program designed for beach and waterfront managers. The text, written by Dr. Griffiths is the authoritative publication on beach management. Our Safe Swimming Beaches seminar offers beach managers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of beach management by comparing industry standards against daily operations of beaches from around the world.
